NCP spokesman forced to admit parking ticket bonus statement ...
Following on from the story below NCP and Camden's parking woes go from bad to worse as NCP spokesman Tim Cowen is forced to admit that the Parking Attendant whistleblower did tell the truth.


If ever evidence was needed that local authority parking enforcement and private contractors do not lead to good practice this is it. Incentives and bonuses however much it is denied by councils and contractors do exist. The more tickets issued the more money for the contractors and the council. It ain't rocket science to work out that that is not a good recipe for a fair, transparent and proportionate system. However, tie in the fact that the adjudication bodies also have a direct beneficial financial relationship based on the number of tickets and you have a recipe for disaster ... which is why we are where we are at!
